All the classic aspects of Street Fighter II are present, such as the SF2 special moves, special attacks, block button, etc. Street Fighter II also features many popular traditional elements found in many modern fighting games. There are many extra buttons which, when combined with the ones used to activate special attacks, can create a very complex and realistic control scheme. The two remaining buttons are used to activate special attacks, execute quick attacks and perform special attacks. Each character in Street Fighter 2 can be controlled with a variety of four different buttons, which can be changeable according to the player's preference. It was one of the first games to adopt a "light engine", which allowed the player to use special techniques and special attacks by pressing a button on the keyboard rather than relying on a joystick or other continuous motion control. Street Fighter 2 is an extremely popular competitive online fighting game developed and released by CAPcom in 1990 for various home computer operating systems and later ported to several different gaming platforms throughout the years.
